Analysis of Water, Extracts, Effluents and other samples supplied as Aqueous Solutions
Liquid samples, whether waters, solutions, extracts or digests must be accompanied by some information regarding their matrix, and any potential hazards. We regret that we are unable to commence the analysis until we have received this information.
When water and solution samples are received containing suspended or settled solids, the supernatant only is analysed (except for the determination of suspended solids and total solids), unless advice to the contrary is received.
Analysis of Naturally Occurring Water
Note:
1) Detection limits assume direct analysis of sample as received or at minimum levels of dilution.
2) Detection limits for MS assume TDS <1000mg/l, and OES assume TDS <5000mg/L.
3) Elements by enhanced sensitivity OES are only available where TDS <100mg/l.
Analysis of Extracts, Effluents, Process waters and other samples supplied as aqueous solutions
Samples containing elevated levels of metals, and/or chemicals often create interference problems. Such samples may have to undergo treatment or high dilution before analysis is possible.
Digest code - Ext $150 / hour
Detection limits for all elements would depend on final digest/dilution.
