Genalysis is proud to announce that in co-operation with Perkin Elmer Australia we will be introducing two new Elan 9000 units to the existing fleet of PE instrumentation. The new Elan 9000 ICP-MS
system simplifies ICP-MS by providing an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain tool for routine ultratrace level analysis. These instruments have excellent detection limits, high sample throughput, and the stability required to meet the heavy loads required by the mining and exploration industry.
The new instruments feature a dual inlet turbomolecular pump and improved cooling systems. An integrated peristaltic pump with tubing saver dramatically reduces sample uptake time, improving productivity beyond normal working hours. Other features such as the new “torch-mount cassette” and “SwiftMount II” quick change lens mount combined with the CETAC ASX520 auto-sampler with extension sample trays, the new instruments are expected to provide the most efficient analytical tools available.
This will give Genalysis a total of five ICP-MS instruments and four ICP-OES instruments. This increase in
instrumentation is intended to give a signficiant increase in throughput. Genalysis has also signed a 2 year service contract with Perkin Elmer Australia to provide extended maintenance and service support to minimize instrument down time. With these contracts in place, Genalysis can expect to have the high quality of Perkin Elmer service required to keep their instruments operation peak, and thus keeping “the jobs flowing”.
