Intertek Vice President of Product Intelligence Xiao Chen Named to Board of International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization

Chicago – Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, today announced that Xiao Chen has been elected to the board of directors of the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO). She will serve a 3 year term, advising on health and safety issues related to products for consumers across the globe.
As the Vice President of Product Intelligence at Intertek, Chen advises manufacturers, retailers, governmental agencies and standard development organizations on hazard analysis, risk assessment, and risk communication. With more than 15 years of experience, her specialty resides in both food and non-food consumer products, and her primary area of focus has been product design at pre-market stage.

ICPHSO members represent national and international government agencies, manufacturers, importers, retailers, trade associations, certification/testing laboratories, law firms, academia, standards writing organizations, media, and consumer advocacy groups who work together to health and safety concerns affecting all consumers.
