Intertek has signed a Joint Venture agreement with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Healthcare Products (CCCMHPIE) to establish ‘Intertek Life Bridge’ in China

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) have signed a Joint Venture (JV) agreement to establish a pharmaceutical and healthcare analytical laboratory in China.
The pharmaceutical and healthcare product industry is an emerging sector in China and promises significant potential for development both domestically and internationally. The JV will be majority owned by Intertek and will help Chinese health product manufacturers to achieve quality and safety assurance across their products and supply chains.
Intertek was the first international third party quality and safety service provider to enter China in 1989 and has over 100 labs and offices in more than 40 cities with over 9,600 employees across China. Through its global network and in-depth knowledge, Intertek can provide the expertise to support product development and industry growth for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industry. In addition, its Assurance solutions allow clients to identify and mitigate risks associated with products, processes, operational and quality management systems, assets and supply chains to achieve Total Quality Assurance.
