Intertek textile labs receive approval from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade to conduct testing for new formaldehyde and Azo dyes requirement

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam - Intertek, a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has received approval from Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to conduct testing for the formaldehyde and Azo dyes requirement for textile products outlined in Circular No. 37/2015/TT-BCT that went into effect in December last year.
Equipped with GC-MS and UV-VIS testing equipment, both Intertek textile laboratories in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are able to identify formaldehyde and Azo dye content in various textiles products, including apparel, home textiles, footwear, carpets and curtains. To meet the needs of Vietnam’s textile brands, retailers and manufacturers, Intertek offers regular (3 working days) and same-day service (5 hours) when testing for this new requirement.
